KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL PENAMBAHAN PLASTIK PET (POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTALATE) DAN ASBUTON LGA (LAWELE GRANULAR ASPHALT) PADA CAMPURAN ASPAL PORUS
Abstract

Abstract: Porous or porous asphalt is a new type of pavement method that is currently being developed in the world of highway construction. Research Objectives to: (1) Describe the characteristics of porous asphalt mixture constituents and (2) The effect of adding PET and LGA asbuton to the porous asphalt mixture was reviewed based on Marshall Testing, Permeability, Cantabro Loss, and Down Drain Binder. The study was conducted with 60/70 pen asphalt levels of 4 percent, 4.5 percent, 5 percent, 5.5 percent, and 6 percent to find the optimum bitumen content value, then it will be added with a comparison of PET material: LGA (0 percent: 0 percent), (5 percent: 5 percent), (10 percent: 10 percent), (15 percent: 15 percent), and (20 percent: 20 percent) to the total weight of the OAC by using the wet method. The results of the study: (1) Characteristics of the composition of the porous asphalt mixture consisting of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, filler, 60/70 pen asphalt fulfilled the specifications and optimum asphalt content of 5.25 percent was obtained. (2) The effect of adding PET: LGA in terms of Marshall characteristics meets specifications for the value of stability, flow, and VIM so that it can meet the parameters for porous asphalt mixture. The highest stability is the PET addition level: LGA is (10 percent: 10 percent) of 616.37 kg, the highest flow is in the PET addition level: LGA is (20 percent: 20 percent) of 2.80 mm, and the highest VIM is in addition PET: LGA which is (0 percent: 0 percent) of 21.40 percent. The higher the level of addition of PET: LGA, the lower the water permeability coefficient value, the higher the water permeability coefficient on the addition of PET: LGA occurs at (0 percent: 0 percent) of 0.032 percent. Judging from the cantabro loss test, the higher the level of addition, the resistance of the mixture to the release of grains is greater, but for levels (0 percent: 0 percent) and (5 percent: 5 percent) do not meet the specifications because the test results exceed the specified limit. In the binder test results drain down all levels of addition of PET: LGA shows an increase in the percentage of flow from the addition of PET: LGA (0 percent: 0 percent) to (20 percent: 20 percent) by 0.091 percent to 0.150 percent.
