STUDI PSIKOANALISIS TOKOH AMI DALAM NOVEL 23:59 KARYA BRIAN KHRISNA SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA

Abstract

This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach anchored in literary psychology to analyze the personality structure of Ami in Brian Khrisna novel 23:59, using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory (id, ego, superego). The data consist of selected dialogue and narrative quotations from the novel that reflect Ami’s personality structure. The analysis reveals that Ami’s character is dominated by the ego aspect, as demonstrated by her ability to adapt and accept reality despite intense inner conflicts. Elements of id and superego are also identified, but both are comparatively less dominant. These findings suggest that the novel has potential as a literary learning medium at the high school level, helping students understand character personality dynamics through the lens of literary psychology.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi kepribadian karakter Ami dalam novel 23:59 karya Brian Khrisna melalui pendekatan psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud (id, ego, superego). Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan dasar teori psikologi sastra. Data penelitian yang diambil berupa kutipan percakapan dan narasi dalam novel yang mencerminkan karakteristik kepribadian Ami yang sudah dianalisis. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter Ami didominasi oleh aspek ego, terlihat dari kemampuannya untuk beradaptasi dan menerima kenyataan meskipun menghadapi konflik batin yang mendalam. Aspek id dan superego juga terlihat dalam kepribadiannya, tetapi kedua aspek itu tampak kurang berpengaruh dibandingkan ego Ami. Buku ini memiliki potensi sebagai sarana pembelajaran sastra di tingkat SMA untuk membantu siswa memahami dinamika karakter melalui teori psikologi sastra.
