VIOLATIONS OF INFORMATION ETHICS, COPYRIGHT, AND INFORMATION PRIVACY AMONG COLLEGE STUDENTS

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai etika informasi, hak cipta, dan privasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara dengan 30 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman terbatas dan sering melakukan pelanggaran, khususnya plagiarisme. Faktor pendorong utamanya meliputi beban tugas yang berat, waktu terbatas, dan minimnya sosialisasi kebijakan.

This study seeks to investigate students' concepts related to information ethics, copyright, and privacy. The research method used a qualitative approach through interviews with 30 students. The data show most of the college students do not understand and often have committed violations, most notably plagiarism. The primary drivers are heavy workloads, limited time, and little policy dissemination.
