EVALUASI DESAIN MASKOT UNTUK HOTEL BINTANG 3 BERTEMA ALAM
Abstract
Karakter maskot yang dapat menarik pengunjung disinyalir merefleksikan nilai dari entitas tertentu sehingga secara langung dapat memperkuat identitas brand sebagai bagian dari strategi marketing. Apabila dirancang dengan komprehensif, maka maskot dapat membentuk ikatan kesetiaan dan memiliki daya pikat secara lengsung kepada target audiensnya karena adanya interaksi yang dapat menjembatani nilai yang ingin disampaikan oleh produsen kepada konsumen. Melalui salah satu penugasan desain yang diimplementasikan terhadap maskot sebuah entitas hotel bertema alam, dilakukan studi mengenai bagaimana mahasiswa dapat mengeksplorasi hasil karyanya, serta bagaimana persepsi pengunjung terhadap tampilan maskot yang dihadirkan pada saat pameran karya. Penelitian mixed method ini disusun dengan pengumpulan data berupa hasil opini pengunjung dan pengelompokkan representasi maskot menggunakan metode visual content analysis, sehingga dapat diketahui evaluasi hasil pembelajaran di pendidikan tinggi desain terhadap hasil karya mahasiswa sesuai dengan tanggapan dari masyarakat yang tertarik dengan kehadiran maskot sebagai salah satu media berkomunikasi antar produsen dan konsumen.
