Kids Khair, Program Penguatan Nilai Gender untuk Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini bagi Guru IGTKM Kota Malang

Abstract


Kids Khair merupakan program yang dirancang sebagai upaya meningkatkan pemahaman nilai gender pada guru TK/RA di Kota Malang. Program ini meliputi seminar daring dan pelatihan memanfaatkan cerita sehari-hari sebagai alat menyosialisasikan keadilan gender sejak dini pada anak-anak. Ketidakadilan yang tercermin dalam realitas sehari-hari yang dianggap sebagai sebuah kewajaran musti dikritisi sehingga tidak menyebabkan sumber diskriminasi. Program menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa kumpulan cerita sehari-hari yang mengakomodasi nilai keadilan gender. Produk diberi judul Kids Khair. Dengan program ini, guru diharapkan lebih peka dan kritis terhadap nilai gender dan inklusi sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mereka juga diharapkan lebih kreatif dan inovatif mengemas pembelajarannya dalam bentuk cerita.  Dengan demikian, Kids Khair menjadi bagian upaya memperkuat kepekaan gender 25 guru yang terlibat dalam kegiatan. Kepekaan tersebut tercermin dari hasil belajar berupa cerita yang ditulis oleh para guru. Cerita tersebut di antaranya diterbitkan dalam bentuk dua buah buku kumpulan cerita anak Kids Khair Series.

Abstract

Kids Khair is a program designed as an effort to improve understanding of gender values for teachers of TK/RA in Malang. The program includes online seminars and training on how to use daily stories as a tool for socializing gender justice for early childhood. The injustice reflected in everyday reality that is considered fairness must be criticized so as not to cause a source of discrimination. The program produces a product of daily stories that accommodate the value of gender justice. The product is titled Kids Khair. From this program, teachers are expected to be more sensitive and critical to gender values and social inclusion in their life. They are also expected to be more creative and innovative to conduct their learning with the stories.  Thus, Kids Khair is a part of efforts to strengthen the gender sensitivity of the 25 teachers involved in the activities. This sensitivity is reflected in the learning outcomes in the form of stories written by teachers. The story was published in the two kinds of Kids Khair Series: children's story collection books.
