Goal Setting: Pendampingan pada Atlet Panahan PPLP Jawa Timur

Pusat Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Pelajar (PPLP) merupakan  wadah pembinaan olahraga prestasi yang dikhususkan bagi pelajar/siswa. Atlet panahan dalam PPLP memiliki dua tugas utama yaitu sukses prestasi dan sukses belajar. Sungguh dua tugas yang berat dan bahkan cenderung bertolak belakang. Satu sisi siswa dituntut sukses prestasi, yang konsekuensinya harus latihan dengan frekuensi yang lebih banyak, membutuhkan waktu latihan yang relatif lama, dan faktor kelelahan pasti sangat tinggi. Di pihak lain sebagai seorang siswa juga harus belajar ilmu pengetahuan, mengerjakan tugas guru, ujian sekolah seperti siswa di sekolah lainnya. Berbagai permasalahan sering muncul, terutama berkaitan dengan aspek kedisiplinan, motivasi belajar dan atau berlatih, pengaturan waktu dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan atlet dalam menetapkan tujuan sehingga kedisiplinan, motivasi, dan percaya diri atletpun akan meningkat dan prestasi bisa dicapai. Metode yang digunakan adalah riset aksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa/pelajar pada PPLP Panahan Surabaya berjumlah 13 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan atlet pelajar meningkat dalam penetapan ego orientasi dan tugas orientasi serta strategi penetapan tujuan. Kesimpulannya adalah dengan peningkatan ego dan tugas orientasi serta strategi tujuan maka terjadi peningkatan dalam motivasi, percaya diri dan kedisplinan atlet.

Abstract

The Center for Student Education and Training (PPLP) is a sports coaching facility dedicated to students. Archery athletes in PPLP have two main tasks: successful achievement and successful learning. What are two heavy and even contradictory tasks. One side of the student is demanded for successful achievement, which consequently should exercise with more frequency, require relatively long training time, and fatigue factor must be very high. On the other hand as a student also must learn science, do the task of the teacher, the school exam like students in other schools. Various problems often arise, especially with regard to aspects of discipline, motivation to learn and or practice, time management and so forth. This study aims to improve the ability of athletes in setting goals so that discipline, motivation, and self-confidence atletpun will increase and achievement can be achieved. The method used is action research. Research subjects were students / students at PPLP Panahan Surabaya amounted to 13 people. The results showed that the ability of athlete learners to increase in the determination of ego orientation and task orientation and goal setting strategy. The conclusion is with the increase of ego and task orientation and goal strategy then there is an increase in the motivation, self confidence and athletic discipline
