Soal cerita pecahan: Analisis kemampuan penyelesaian siswa SMP berdasarkan teori taksonomi SOLO

Abstract


Hasil tes observasi awal didapatkan beberapa siswa SMP belum optimal dalam penyelesaian soal pecahan. Berawal dari hasil tersebut peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan guna mengetahui kemampuan penyelesaian siswa saat  mengerjakan soal cerita matematika pokok bahasan pecahan berdasarkan teori taksonomi SOLO. Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dekriptif. Instrumen yang diperlukan peneliti yaitu tes tertulis yang memberi 2 butir soal, pedoman wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek sebanyak 31 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri di Kota Malang. Proses analisis data pada penelitian ini yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil pada penelitian ini  yaitu: subjek dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu mencapai tahap unistruktural, multistruktural, relational dan extended abstract hanya pada soal 2; subjek berkemampuan sedang AF mampu menyelesaikan soal semua tahapan pada soal 2 sedangkan ARA pada soal 1; dan subjek dengan kemampuan yang rendah hanya mampu mencapai indikator unistruktural (NHP) dan multistruktural (MMZ). Kesalahan terbesar yang dilakukan subjek dalam penelitian ini terjadi pada tahap relational.
