Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Standup-Handup-Pairup dan Inside-Outside Circle untuk Meningkatkan Self-Esteem dan Hasil Belajar Siswa

Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model type of standup-handup-pairup (SHP) and the inside-outside circle (IOS) in improving self-esteem and learning outcomes IPS Class VIII / A SMP Negeri 1 Biau. Research approach included classroom action research. Researchers as full participants, assisted by two social studies teachers as an observer. Subjects were students of Class VIII / A Odd Semester 2012/2013 amounted to 24 students. The collection of data through observation, tests, questionnaires, and field notes. The results showed that: (1) the observation of the implementation of the model of learning by teachers including both categories and meets the criteria; (2) self-esteem of students cycle I and cycle II was increased were high; (3) The student learning outcomes of the first cycle and the second cycle increased it has demonstrated the success of classical learning outcomes; (4) the results of responses of 24 students all provide high response and the results give a positive response to the application of this model; and (5) the implementation of cooperative learning model and IOS SHP effectively improve self-esteem and student learning outcomes.

 

Abstrak: Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Standup-Handup-Pairup dan Inside-Outside Circle untuk Meningkatkan Self-Esteem dan Hasil Belajar Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran tipe standup-handup-pairup (SHP) dan inside-outside circle (IOS) dalam meningkatkan self esteem dan hasil belajar IPS Kelas VIII/A SMP Negeri 1 Biau. Pendekatan penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Peneliti sebagai partisipan penuh dengan dibantu oleh 2 guru IPS sebagai observer. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas VIII/A Semester Gasal 2012/2013 berjumlah 24 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, angket, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil observasi implementasi model pembelajaran oleh guru termasuk kategori baik dan telah memenuhi kriteria; (2) self-esteem siswa siklus I dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan termasuk kategori tinggi; (3) hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan hal ini telah menunjukkan keberhasilan hasil belajar klasikal; (4) hasil respons dari 24 siswa semuanya memberikan respons tinggi dan hasilnya memberikan respons positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran ini; dan (5) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe SHP dan IOS efektif meningkatkan self-esteem dan hasil belajar siswa.
