Kesiapan Penyelenggaraan Program SMK COE Pada Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Alat Berat
Abstract
Abstrak: Program Sekolah Menengah kejuruan Center of Excellence ( SMK COE) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan SMK sesuai dengan standar kebutuhan industri. Program SMK COE berfokus pada pengembangan sumber daya manusia SMK dengan paradigma baru yang terintegrasi untuk mengimbas ke sekolah lain. Namun, kenyataan dilapangan untuk rencana penyelenggaraan program COE masih banyak kendala yang dihadapi. Kendala utama sampai saat ini belum dilakukan eksplorasi kesiapan guru, ruang lingkung kerja sama dengan industri, dan peralatan praktikum. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengeksplorasi kesiapan penyelenggaraan program COE. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kasus yang tergolong dalam pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SMKN 6 Malang pada kompetensi keahlian Teknik Alat Berat. Kesiapan rencana penyelenggaraan program COE di SMKN 6 Malang dapat berjalan dengan baik apabila kesiapan guru, kesiapan ruang lingkup kerja sama dengan industri, dan kesiapan peralatan praktikum sesuai dengan standar.
