Pemanfaatan Simulator Praktikum Kelistrikan Bodi Mobil Untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Berpikir Kritis

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using an automotive electrical system simulator in enhancing students' critical thinking competencies. This topic was chosen due to the importance of mastering practical skills in automotive electrical systems, which often poses challenges for students. The research employed a quantitative method using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure improvements in critical thinking. A total of 40 students participated as samples in this study, and the results showed a 45% improvement in critical thinking skills after using the simulator. The simulator, equipped with troubleshooting features and voltage and current measurement capabilities, proved effective in helping students better understand both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The findings suggest that simulation technology can enhance the quality of technical education, especially in vocational training that demands practical skills. Therefore, the use of a practical simulator can serve as an effective alternative for improving students' competencies in automotive electrical systems, with a positive impact on the overall quality of technical education.
