Eksplorasi Talenta dan Kreatifitas Masyarakat Melalui Pelatihan Lukis Aquarelle

Abstract


Abstract: This paper discusses the challenges of teaching aquarelle fabric painting technique to the community. There are two popular painting techniques, namely paste and aquarelle. The paste technique uses oil-based solution, while aquarelle technique is water-based. Fabric painting products in the market mostly using paste techniques, instead of aquarelle. Meanwhile, the aquarelle technique can give a more dramatic impression on paint objects compared to the paste technique, as the aquarelle enable the more dynamic dark-light strokes to give a higher emotional value. In addition, aquarelle technique allow for varied painting styles, ranging from naturalist or realist to abstract or ekpressionis styles. This study shows that with the same instructions and the same given pattern, the results of each participant’s work were varies.

Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas mengenai tantangan dalam proses mengajarkan teknik lukis kain aquarelle pada masyarakat. Ada dua macam teknik lukis, yaitu pasta dan aquarelle. Teknik lukis kain aquarelle adalah metode melukis dengan cat yang terbuat dari pigmen dalam larutan berbasis air. Produk lukis kain yang ada di pasaran sebagian besar menggunakan teknik pasta. Sedangkan produk lukis kain dengan teknik aquarelle masih belum banyak ditemui. Teknik aquarelle dapat memberikan kesan lebih dramatis terhadap obyek lukis dibandingkan dengan teknik pasta, karena tipikal sapuan kuasnya memungkinkan permainan gelap-terang secara lebih dinamis sehingga memberikan nilai emosional yang lebih tinggi. Teknik aquarelle memungkinkan gaya lukis yang variatif, mulai dari gaya naturalis/realis hingga abstrak/ekpressionis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan instruksi yang sama dan pola yang sama, hasil goresan tiap peserta bisa sangat berbeda.
