Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Letters in Information Technology Education is an open access peer-reviewed international journal that publishes scholarly articles on the teaching and learning about information technology. This includes using technology to enhance learning, to support teaching and teaching administration. In addition, articles with a sound underpinning of pedagogical principles on the teaching of information technology are most welcome. The journal publishes conceptual, theoretical and empirical papers biannually.

Peer Review Process

LITE reviewing policies are:

  • Every submitted paper will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers.
  • Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers (double blind review method).
  • Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.


Publication Frequency

LITE is a Journal published online and printed twice a year.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Article Processing Charges

Every article submitted to LITE Journal will not have any 'Article Processing Charges'. This includes submitting, peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions of the articles.


Plagiarism Check

Plagiarism screening will be conducted by LITE Journal Editorial Board using Grammarly® Plagiarism Checker and Crossref Similarity Check plagiarism screening service powered by iThenticate.


Copy Editing and Proofreading

Every article accepted by LITE Journal shall be an object to Grammarly® writing-enhancement program conducted by LITE Journal Editorial Board.


References Management

Every article submitted to LITE Journal shall use reference management software e.g. EndNote®, Zotero, or Mendeley.
