Abstract

This research discusses the special meaning of one of the Dutch tombs in Pacitan, namely the Djamijah Pacitan Mausoleum. The Djamijah Pacitan Mausoleum was chosen as the research object because the tomb has buildings and epitaphs that are relatively intact and not many researchers have discussed it. The aim of this research is to find out the special meaning contained in the Djamijah Pacitan Mausoleum in the form of carved symbols and the contents of the epitaph. Data obtained from literature study and historical research methods. The data was analyzed and then interpreted to find out the special meaning of the Djamijah Pacitan Mausoleum. The epitaph data that can be read is analyzed regarding the condition of the damage, the contents of the existing inscriptions, and the engraving symbols used. This data is correlated with historical data obtained from literature review. The results of the analysis can be used as a history learning resource for high school students. With this research, it is hoped that the Djamijah Pacitan Mausoleum can be used as a history learning resource for students.

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang arti khusus pada salah satu makam Belanda di Pacitan yakni Mausoleum Djamijah Pacitan. Mausoleum Djamijah Pacitan dipilih sebagai objek penelitian karena makam tersebut memiliki bangunan dan epitaf yang relatif masih utuh serta masih tidak banyak peneliti yang membahasnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui arti khusus pada Mausoleum Djamijah Pacitan berupa simbol-simbol ukiran dan isi epitaf. Data diperoleh dari studi pustaka dan metode penelitian sejarah. Data dianalisis lalu diinterpretasi untuk mengetahui arti khusus dari Mausoleum Djamijah Pacitan. Data epitaf yang bisa dibaca kemudian dianalisa tentang kondisi kerusakan, isi inskripsi yang ada, serta simbol ukiran yang digunakan. Kemudian data tersebut dikorelasikan dengan data yang didapatkan dari kajian pustaka. Hasil analisa dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar sejarah untuk SMA. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan bahwa Mausoleum Djamijah Pacitan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar sejarah lokal untuk siswa.
