EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM JAKOSBA DI SMP NEGERI I DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BACA SISWA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas program JAKOSBA dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest dan melibatkan 91 siswa sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner skala Likert, dan data dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor minat baca siswa, dari rata-rata 57,26 (pretest) menjadi 77,97 (posttest), dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,001 dan effect size Cohen’s d = 2,140.

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the JAKOSBA program in increasing students' reading interest at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa. The study used a quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest design and involved 91 students as randomly selected samples. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using a paired sample t- test. The results showed a significant increase in students' reading interest scores, from an average of 57.26 (pretest) to 77.97 (posttest), with a significance value of p <0.001 and an effect size of Cohen’s d = 2.140.
