PENGUATAN KAPASITAS MANAJEMEN STRESS DENGAN PENDEKATAN SPIRITUAL, MINDFULNESS, KOPING, DAN GERAK PHISIK BAGI KADER POSYANDU LANSIA

Abstract


Abstrak: Stres merupakan respon fisik normal terhadap peristiwa yang mengancam sehingga dapat mengganggu keseimbangan dalam kehidupan sehari  hari. Depresi dan kecemasan adalah termasuk gejala stres yang berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan mental terutama pada lansia. Lansia sangat bergantung dari peran kader untuk menjalankan tugas dan kewajibannya sehari-hari, dengan bantuan kader dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia baik secara fisik, sosial dan mental. Kader yang kompeten dalam pengelolaan manajemen stres dapat berperan sebagai fasilitator bagi lansia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kader posyandu lansia melalui pelatihan manajemen stres. Materi pelatihan manajemen stres berupa pelatihan pendekatan spiritual, mindfulness, koping stres, kegiatan sosial, olahraga dan dukungan keluarga. Kader mengisi kuesioner pre-test dan post-test dengan jumlah 50 soal pengetahuan lansia serta 34 soal mengenai sikap kader lansia. Kemudian kader mengisi kuisioner tingkat stres menggunakan Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) berjumlah 10 item setelah satu bulan kemudian. Terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara pelatihan manajemen stres terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap kader lansia. Kader lansia diharapkan berkontribusi melakukan manajemen stres yang baik untuk diri sendiri maupun sebagai kader agar dapat membantu lansia dalam melakukan manajemen stres untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Kader yang memiliki pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik mengenai lansia diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pelayanan lansia secara efektif.

 

Abstract: Stress is a normal physical response to threatening events that can disrupt the balance in everyday life. Depression and anxiety are symptoms of stress that have a negative impact on mental health, especially in the elderly. The elderly are very dependent on the role of cadres to carry out their daily duties and obligations, with the help of cadres, they can improve the quality of life of the elderly both physically, socially and mentally. A competent elderly caregiver of stress management can act as a facilitator for the elderly. This activity aims to empower elderly caregiver through stress management training. Stress management training materials include spiritual approach, mindfulness, stress coping, social activities, sports and family support. The elderly caregivers filled out the pre-test and post-test questionnaires with a total of 50 questions about elderly knowledge and 34 questions about the attitudes of elderly caregiver. Then the cadres filled out a stress level questionnaire using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) totaling 10 items one month later. There is a significant effect between stress management training on the knowledge and attitudes of elderly cadres. The elderly caregivers are expected to contribute to proper stress management for themselves as well as a caregiver in order to assist the elderly in doing management stress to improve the quality of life. Caregivers who have proper knowledge and attitude towards elderly hopefully can improve elderly’s care service effectively.
