Keefektifan Layanan Konseling Kelompok untuk Meningkatkan Kepercayaan Diri Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama

Abstract


Abstract: This is an experimental study which describes the effectiveness of group counseling treatment in increasing student’s confidence. The subject of this study is IX grade students of Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Paciran, Lamongan, East Java. The subject which can be said as sample of the study were collected using purposive sampling. They were divided into two groups namely experiment group and control group. Both group was given different treatment and the result of those treatments were examined using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The result shows that group counseling treatment can improve student’s confidence.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental tentang efektifitas layanan konseling kelompok dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Paciran, Lamongan, Jawa Timur. Subjek penelitian yang juga merupakan sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Subjek kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kedua kelompok tersebut kemudian diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda dan hasil dari perlakuan tersebut diuji dengan menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa layanan konseling kelompok dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa.
