Menggali Potensi dan Masalah Pengembangan Gaharu (Aquilaria Spp) di Desa Putat Lor
Abstract
Gaharu adalah salah satu hasil hutan non kayu dengan berbagai bentuk dan warna yang khas, memiliki kandungan kadar damar wangi dan memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Adanya permintaan yang cukup tinggi, baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri terhadap gaharu menyebabkan perburuannya semakin meningkat dan tidak terkendali. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk: 1) mengetahui potensi gaharu di Desa Putat Lor Kecamatan Gondanglegi, Kabupaten Malang; 2) mengetahui permasalahan dalam pembudidayaan dan pengembangan gaharu; dan 3) memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk pengembangan gaharu. Melalui kegiatan pengadian ini ditemukan bahwa dalam upaya pengembangan gaharu terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi seperti: 1) minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat setempat mengenai budidaya gaharu; 2) adanya keterbatasan modal untuk mengembangkan komoditi gaharu; dan 3) adanya permasalahan pemasaran serta penetapan harga yang tidak stabil. Adapun upaya yang dapat ditempuh untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu: 1) pembentukan dan pengembangan koperasi gaharu; dan 2) memfasilitasi masyarakat dalam hal pemasaran produk gaharu.

Abstract
Agarwood is one of the non-timber forest products with a variety of distinctive shapes and colors, contains mastic content and has high economic value. The demand is quite high, both from within and outside the country against aloes causing hunting increasingly increasing and out of control. The purpose of this article is to: 1) find out the potential of agarwood in Putat Lor Village, Gondanglegi District, inMalang Regency; 2) find out the problems in cultivating and developing agarwood; and 3) provide policy recommendations for the development of agarwood. Through these activities, it was found that in the efforts to develop agarwood there were several problems encountered, such as: 1) the lack of local knowledge about agarwood cultivation; 2) there is limited capital to develop agarwood commodities; and 3) marketing problems and unstable pricing. The efforts that can be taken to overcome these problems are: 1) the formation and development of agarwood cooperatives; and 2) facilitating the community in marketing aloes.
