PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PBL “RUNGGU RAKUT SITELU” (PBL_RAS) PADA MATERI EKOLOGI & KEANEKARAGAMAN HAYATI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS

Abstract


Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah “Runggu Rakut Sitelu” (PBL_RAS) pada materi “Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia” yang valid, reliabel, praktis dan efektif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur pengembangan Plomp. Subjek dalam penelitian yaitu SMP Negeri 4 Kota Salatiga. Analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test, uji independent sample t-test serta uji N-Gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dibuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran, perangkat pembelajaran serta instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Model pembelajaran praktis untuk digunakan dengan perolehan nilai 4,9 kategori semuanya terlaksana dan respon siswa memperoleh nilai 0,8 kategori sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired t-test dibuktikan model pembelajaran PBL_RAS berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan nilai p-value 0,01<α 0,05 dengan perolehan N-Gain mencapai 0,64 dengan kategori medium. Hasil analisis uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan p-value sebesar 0,02 < α 0,05 sehingga diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara PBL_RAS dan kelas PBL dengan nilai N-Gain pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,53 dengan kategori medium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan model pembelajaran PBL_RAS dinyatakan valid dan reliabel serta terbukti praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pelajaran IPA.

Abstract. This research aims to develop a problem-based learning model "Runggu Rakut Sitelu” (PBL_RAS) on the material “Ecology and Biodiversity of Indonesia '' which is valid, reliable, practical and effective. This research method uses the Plomp development procedure. The subjects in the research were SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga City. Data analysis using test paired sample t-test, test independent sample t-test and test N-Gain. Based on the research results, it was proven that the learning model, learning tools and research instruments used were declared valid and reliable. The practical learning model to be used with a score of 4.9 in the category was all implemented and student responses obtained a score of 0.8 in the very positive category. Based on test results paired t-test It is proven that the PBL_RAS learning model has an effect on critical thinking skills with gradesp-value 0.01<α 0.05 with gainN-Gain reaching 0.64 in the medium category. Test analysis results independent sample t-test show-value of 0.02 < α 0.05 so it is known that there is a significant difference in the influence of learning models on students' critical thinking skills between PBL_RAS and PBL classes with gradesN-Gain in the control class it was 0.53 in the medium category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development of the PBL_RAS learning model is declared valid and reliable and proven to be practical and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in science lessons.
