Penguasaan Konsep Suhu dan Kalor dengan Experiential Learning melalui Pembelajaran Destilasi Air Laut

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan siswa menggunakan strategi experiential learning melalui pembelajaran destilasi air laut pada topik suhu dan kalor. Karakteristik experiential learning yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini mengikuti empat fase belajar, antara lain concrete experience (pengalaman), reflective observation (merefleksikan), abstract konseptualitation (generalisasi) dan active experimentation. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method dengan desain model embedded experimental dengan subjek penelitian 30 siswa pada kelas XI SMA N 9 Jeneponto pada 2017/2018. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan mencakup daya kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar kerja, queationnaires, panduan wawancara dan lembar observasi, sedangkan data kuantitatif dikumpulkan menggunakan tes (pre/post). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penguasaan siswa telah meningkat. Hasil ini menjelaskan bahwa penggunaan strategi experiential learning dapat meningkatkan penguasaan siswa pada topik suhu dan kalor dengan nilai N-Gain 0,46 dan efek ukuran 3,24.
