Tidak mudah untuk menemukan gambaran kehidupan sehari-hari di Indonesia masa kolonial. Lebih mudah mencari peristiwa besar, penting, dan spektakuler yang tercatat dalam tumpukan arsip kolonial yang sudah menguning.
