Asesmen Kemampuan Membaca Peserta Didik dengan Autisme

Abstract


Ketidakmampuan membaca pada anak autisme dapat menghambat kemampuan komunikasi dan partisipasi sosial mereka, karena literasi berperan penting dalam membangun kosa kata, memahami konteks sosial, dan mengurangi perilaku repetitif atau frustrasi, terutama melalui interaksi berbasis cerita atau teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui level kemampuan membaca peserta didik autisme kelas II SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta. Studi ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Studi kasus di SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan untuk memahami interaksi peserta didik autisme dengan materi bacaan. Tes berfungsi untuk mengukur dan membantu mendapatkan data kemampuan membaca peserta didik autisme, dan dokumentasi melibatkan pengumpulan data dari arsip atau catatan yang sudah ada guna memberikan konteks tambahan dan memperkuat hasil yang diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan membaca tiga peserta didik kelas II Autisme di SLB Negeri 11 Jakarta berada pada level membaca permulaan dengan tahapan yang bervariasi. Peserta didik pertama berada pada level membaca suku kata, peserta didik kedua berada pada level membaca kata dan peserta didik ketiga berada pada level membaca kalimat. Variasi ini menunjukkan kebutuhan intervensi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik.
